San Bruno

San Bruno

San Bruno is home to some of the best views of the San Francisco Bay. Nestled into the hills overlooking San Francisco Airport, San Bruno is home to more than 41,000 residents, 6,500 of whom are over the age of 65. A high number of senior citizens would prefer to remain in their home instead of relocating into one of the local assisted living or independent living communities. For those seniors who do wish to stay in their family home, many of them will need extra assistance as they age. This is where we at Polaris Home Care can help.

At Polaris Home Care we assist the senior population of the Bay Area with maintaining their independence and activity within the community. Our caregivers complete rigorous training to ensure that we can provide safety and security for our clients. We assist with personal care items and activities of daily living such as assistance with showering, dressing, transfers and exercising or physical therapy. In addition to assisting with personal care, our caregivers also provide assistance in companionship services, including transportation, medication reminders and meal preparation.

At Polaris, our caregivers complete all state required training and certifications. All of our employees are licensed, insured and bonded with the state of California. In addition to state minimum requirements, Polaris Home Care caregivers are also trained on special conditions that are common among senior citizens; these include Alzheimer’s and dementia, stroke, Parkinson’s disease, heart failure, diabetes, arthritis, and hospice care. As our clients age, a number of them will have some level of familiarity with one or more of these conditions. We believe at Polaris that the best way to deal with any issue is to be prepared for all possibilities.

Polaris Home Care has been serving the senior citizens of San Bruno since 2016, working closely with hospitals like San Mateo Medical Center and skilled nursing facilities like San Bruno Skilled Nursing Hospital to ensure safe and reliable discharges from these healthcare facilities back to the home. We work closely with the staff at these facilities to build a personalized care plan for each of our clients. Our caregivers assist our clients according to the personalized care plan to maintain the highest level of independence they can.
